Yeh, I arrived in Davao at about 4 pm last June 6th, Friday. As usual, EJ, my committed bestfriend took me from the airport + PAL fare sponsor and apartment-soon-to-be-new-mate. Wow! Who wouldn't want my bestfriend to be theirs? I'll detail the reasons later why I'm here. I'm just in an internet cafe and I feel uncomfortable with people passing behind my back.
EJ and I had a little chat and I took a nap after. We went to Pista Lokal near Angel's Funeral (sorry, I don't know the street, that's the location I could give out so far, lol) at 10pm because EJ and his 4SOME band got a gig there every Friday. I saw some of my schoolmates there too. I knew EJ won't let that night pass without me singin'. So, ok, pakapalan na 'to! It's been years since the last time I went up on stage. Singing has always been my favorite thing to do. So I went up there & didn't care what people might say. Behind my head, it's saying: Nobody knows you here, Catea. If there's anyone, they would barely know you. And if somebody throw you tomatoes, they're just drunk, thank them for lycopene. :D Hell I care. "I'm a bit nervous"- is all I have said before singing Jennifer Love Hewitt's Cool With You. Naks! I did it again.
"You got a nice voice"- Chui, part of their band. "I want to know you more, I heard a lot of things about you". Ahheeemmm... I hope it was all positive, lol. Her words are just enough to let me know I didn't mess up there. :D
P.S. I wish I could make it. I found a message by Leah at Crissy's chatbox that there would be Davao Bloggers Party 2008! That's really exciting! I feel like my visit here is really worth it. The said party is organized by Avatar Media, and coordinated by Events by Ria, and initiated by Blogie Robillo.
